Requirements

What are the requirements for running ax-framework?

The minimum requirements for ax-framework are as follows:

  • a webserver running PHP 5.4 or higher
  • mySQL version 5.5 or higher
    For some special deployment cases we are building a minimum version with file storage instead of mysql.

Deployment

Can I sell a product that was built with ax-framework?

While it is not legal to sell a product that would include ax-framework itself, it is possible to market all developments built on top of the framework. In most cases it is advisable to develop modules that would market via our official repository.

Can I distribute an open-source project built ontop of ax-framework?

While it is not legal to sell a product that would include ax-framework itself, it is possible to market all developments built on top of the framework.

Can I use parts of ax-framework outside ax-framework for my own product?

What do I get for registering with ax-framework?

Registration with ax-framework is free and free of obligaton. You get the following options:

  • Sign up for our newsletter
  • Access to obtaining and maintaining licenses
Do I need to register to use ax-framework?

You don't need to register with us, unless:

  • you want to use ax-framework for commercial purposes and therefore need commercial licensing
  • you want to purchase ax-framework to obtain support on non-commercial projects
  • you want to sign up to our newsletter to stay informed about important updates and news
Registering is free and free of obligation.

How to buy a license

Please register and login to our system. Click on licenses, where you will find the BUY NEW LICENSE button.

You will be prompted a page, where you can choose your package, and specify the URL where your project will be accessible.

In case you can't specify the target URL yet, you can provide it any later too.

From here

  • CHECKOUT will lead you to our paypal checkout process,
  • while SEND LINK VIA EMAIL will forward the checkout process to a person specified via email.
How long is my license valid

You have to distinguish between two parts of the license:

  • access to our support system: as purchased
  • product use and modification lifetime: unlimited


Support

How do I get access to the support system?

You need two meet two requirements to make use of our support system:

  • Registration on the main website
  • a product license with valid support lifetime
Once those two requirements are met, you are able to login to our support system.

How long does it take to get an answer to my support request?

Our support system works on a trusted, private send-reply basis. We can guarantee you a response withing 48 hours of your request.

In case there is some error within our framework we will do our best to help you find a the best workaround, while we are working on a full solution.

All this support is naturally about our framework and not the product you are building, though we might be helping you out in some cases.
